Activation
The Full Story
Activating Christian believers into their calling involves understanding and embracing the unique purpose and mission that God has for each individual. Here are some key principles:

-
Spirit Activation: As believers, we are not merely flesh and blood; we are born-again spirit beings. Our life is hidden with Christ, and His Spirit dwells within us. Activating the fruit of the Holy Spirit involves allowing His life to flow through us. This includes praying in tongues, which engages our spirit and aligns it with God’s Spirit. When we activate the Spirit within us, we manifest the life of Christ.
-
Stirring Up Spiritual Gifts: The apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to “stir up the gift of God” within him. Similarly, we must activate the gifts of the Holy Spirit that reside in us. An activation is a faith action—a deliberate step taken to manifest the Spirit’s power. Just as the early Church recorded their acts in the Book of Acts, we too can activate the gifts and operate in the supernatural.
-
Living Worthy of Our Calling: Ephesians 4:1 urges believers to walk in a manner worthy of their calling. This involves humility, gentleness, patience, and love. We are part of one body, united by one Spirit. Christ has equipped us with gifts—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—to build up the body of Christ. As we grow in maturity, we no longer remain spiritual children but become vessels for God’s love and truth.
-
Studying God’s Word: To live worthy of Christ’s calling, we must immerse ourselves in the Word of God. Scripture equips us for righteousness and reveals our purpose. Studying the Bible helps us understand our general calling and specific giftings.
